Teamspeak

Babble

Decoration

Given to a Ridge member who distinguish themselves by constantly interrupting players while on TS, continuously chatters while as an ingame commander or player. (Also known as the "STFU Award." Goes well with Royal Pain Bar). The design of this bar is somewhat thicker then other decorations do to the amount of hot air stored within. Developed as a subtle hint to our friends suffering from verbal diarrhea, it may just become the most awarded decoration on our site.  Never have so many, wanted to strangle the others with their own headset!

The

Leamona  Decoration

Commonly know as the "Leave Me Alone Award" is granted to the member who for some reason or another finds himself/herself the frequent target of hostility. Those dedicated to finding themselves the target of unwanted gun fire, artillery, air raping, or armor fodder. Their dedication to self sacrifice for no good reason other then entertainment is recognized here. Sometimes referred to the "Why Me Lord", as they are frequently overheard crying while they once again find themselves winging toward heaven.

The upside down drivability  Decoration

Given to a Ridge member who distinguish themselves by consistently finding creative ways to transport themselves and team mates ingame. Their unique driving skills create a sense of nausea to passengers and would grey the hair of the most hardened driving instructors. Often considered as working for the enemy, team mates often find the safest place to be, is in a bunker or on a roof top when this recipient is behind the wheel.

CORPS MEMBERS BADGES

Expert Butt Kisser Badge

An award earned by an individual who has demonstrated the undeniable ability to suck up to members and senior staff. Commencing from boot camp, shamelessly carries forward a unique talent to ingratiate ones self in pursuit of favor.

This may not require groveling, genuflection, or ring kissing but is not overlooked as an option. They often work quietly, with stealth and subtly without warning slip in to a conversation the kiss. This badge is received via nomination by any member, or senior staff, who suspects they have been planted or witnessed clever precision strike.

The Joint Chiefs review the nomination and decide if the medal is awarded.

Entertainment Service Badge

"There are three things which are real: God, human folly, and laughter. The first two are beyond our comprehension. So we must do what we can with the third." -John F. Kennedy

Given to a Ridge member who distinguish themselves by frequently interrupts players while on TS with hilarity. This may be a strategic move or simply an uncontrollable talent to bring laughter and humor to the game.

Whether by jokes, limericks, stories or quips, this member is always a warily joy to have around on TS. The "Uniformed Slapstick Order" Badge is presented to those who's presence is often delightful and leaves listener regularly in stitches.

You have a gift for bringing joy and laughter to the world or at least this small part of it.

Proverbial Pot Stirrer Badge

This award is given to a member who, whether by jokes, limericks, stories, pictures, clips or quips, has an infinity for the stirring up "stuff" in the forum. This is a person, of whom we all know someone similar to in our lives, will start an issue or fires a shot, only to sit back and watch the mêlée unfold. In like form, with stealth and cunning lies in wait for a topic to die down only to insert a comment which starts the ball rolling all over again.

Often these members appears to be so full of it, such a large quantity requires a paddle to stir and a shovel to spread. All in good fun and must never be intended to harm.

This badge is received via nomination by any member, or senior staff, and awarded by the forum administrators.

Breaker Squirrel Mascot Badge and Ribbon

Awarded to the Corps mascot. This is a special badge granted to the youngest full member (chronologically) of the Heartbreak Ridge Corp. This is an Honorary Badge that cannot be won or earned.

A mascot, is a term for any person, animal, or thing supposed to bring luck. Like any school, sports team or military unit, it is the official representative of our Corps. We chose the squirrel for it's speed, agility and ability to occasionally be entertaining or cute. Also, as the badge depicts, our mascot has the skill to outwit the "squirrel gun" in combat.

The Badge is a one of a kind award that most be handed down from mascot to mascot. The ribbon, however, remains a keepsake and reminder to all of the experience rendered to an Official Heartbreak Ridge Mascot!

Capt Jack Spam-A-Lot Badge

This badge is awarded by forum administrators to members for pirating ideas, sailing on other peoples threads and skullduggery to obtain treasured rank through endless abbreviated spam.

The over use of LOL, HA-HA, ROLF, and other acronym to raise there overall individual post count.  With this award, should come with a reduction in your post count by 200 and a free necktie party!

In addition, this badge may be awarded to anyone assisting or providing a safe harbor for the spammer pirate! To which they will only receive an invitation to the party.

"Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." -Albert Einstein-

the colonel flagg badge

Also known as the "I Was Never Here Badge", is given to a member who seems to come and go like the wind but leaving mayhem in the wake. In fact their "trademark" is to assure that no one sees them leave when they finish a job.

This member may often play a sniper, spec ops or simply ease drop on TS gathering information with stealth as commander. Often a lone wolf with no home, their behavior is rather paranoid and irrational, and he appears occasionally to be mentally unstable. Possibly from those long hours of quiet and sneakiness.

Based on the unforgettable character Colonel Sam Flagg, played the memorable Edward Winter (1937-2001), an overzealous Army Intelligence agent who paid several unwelcome visits to the 4077th of TV's hit show M*A*S*H (1972-1983).

"Nobody can get the truth out of me because even I don't know what it is. I keep myself in a constant state of utter confusion." -Edward Winter as Col. Sam Flagg, "The Abduction of Margaret Houlihan", episode 102, season 5-

the heartbreak dance badge

"Forgive your enemies, but never forget their names." - John F. Kennedy -

An award earned by a Ridge member who distinguish themselves by frequently, in the heat of battle, demonstrated the undeniable ability to break into dance mode. Sometimes referred to as the "Michael Jackson/Fred Astaire Award", (with apologies to Mr. Astaire), these members delight themselves with their renditions of the Bunny Hop, Moon Walk, Funky Chicken, Fox Trot and of course the Bird Dance.

Style is obviously never considered during these performances as they appear more like hyperactive rabbits on crack! They further contradict the purpose of the art of dance, to which pleasure and enjoyment is given, as it only serves to frustrate the audience that is trying to kill them.

Sure to be a popular award at firing squads!

The article must be of good content, clarity, average in length and over all interest to the Corps. Submissions can be entertaining, historical or game related and published in the Ridge Reporter during the consideration period.
