Breaker
Squirrel Mascot Badge and Ribbon

A mascot, is a term for
any person, animal, or thing supposed to bring luck.
Like any school, sports team or military unit, it is the
official representative of our Corps. We chose the
squirrel for it's speed, agility and ability to
occasionally be entertaining or cute. Also, as the badge
depicts, our mascot has the skill to outwit the "squirrel gun" in combat.

remains a keepsake and reminder to all of the experience
rendered to an Official Heartbreak Ridge Mascot!

Einstein-
the colonel flagg
badge
Also
known as the
"I Was Never Here
Badge",
is given to a member
who seems to come
and go like the wind
but leaving mayhem
in the wake. In fact
their
"trademark" is to
assure that no one
sees them leave when
they finish a job.
This
member may often
play a sniper, spec
ops or simply ease
drop on TS gathering
information with
stealth as
commander. Often a
lone wolf with no
home, their behavior
is rather paranoid
and irrational, and
he appears
occasionally to be
mentally unstable.
Possibly from those
long hours of quiet
and sneakiness.
Based
on the unforgettable
character Colonel
Sam Flagg, played
the memorable Edward
Winter (1937-2001),
an overzealous Army
Intelligence agent
who paid several
unwelcome visits to
the 4077th of TV's
hit show
M*A*S*H
(1972-1983).
"Nobody can get the
truth out of me
because even I don't
know what it is. I
keep myself in a
constant state of
utter confusion."
-Edward Winter as
Col. Sam Flagg, "The
Abduction of
Margaret Houlihan",
episode 102, season
5-
the heartbreak dance
badge
"Forgive your
enemies, but
never forget
their names."
-
John F. Kennedy
-
An award earned by a
Ridge member who
distinguish
themselves by
frequently,
in the heat of
battle, demonstrated
the undeniable
ability to break
into dance mode.
Sometimes referred
to as the
"Michael
Jackson/Fred Astaire
Award",
(with apologies to
Mr. Astaire),
these members
delight themselves
with their
renditions of the
Bunny Hop, Moon
Walk, Funky Chicken,
Fox Trot and of
course the Bird
Dance.
Style is obviously
never considered
during these
performances as they
appear more like
hyperactive rabbits
on crack! They
further contradict
the purpose of the
art of dance, to
which pleasure and
enjoyment is given,
as it only serves to
frustrate the
audience that is
trying to kill them.
Sure to be a popular
award at firing
squads!
