Enlisting As A Corps Member

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Heartbreak Ridge recruit. Below you will find information on the recruitment process, criteria, and availability. At present enlistment will now be reserved for players age 14 and over. Any exception to that rule must be verified by the child's parent or guardian via email or Teamspeak confirmation, preferably by a Senior Corps Member. Until such time as confirmation is made, the player may not enlist or stay in Teamspeak.

Players who exhibit a mature positive attitude, play according to the rules, who get involved in the community through the forums and Teamspeak may eventually be considered for the honorable title of The Heartbreak Ridge Corps Member and wear the badge with distinction.

Those players may also be recognized by current Heartbreak Ridge Admin’s and Corps Members who will endorse them to be new member. It takes a nomination from a member and a second from another, in this case and then the new candidates will be voted on.

Anyone who persistently asks to be a Corps Member will automatically be disqualified.

The process:

1. The first step is to fill out the required information below. You will receive a confirmation email with this and additional information. Once you receive your confirmation place the tag " =HR*R= " before your screen name. (For example, GIJane would become =HR*R=  GIJane.) This alerts all members to take notice of a new recruit. If you do not receive your email in a timely fashion, please speak to an Admin in game. NOTE: You may, at anytime, be questioned by members as to why you have our tag. Make sure you have the capability to communicate with them.
    

2. Next the recruit must ensure that he/she has all the necessary software/hardware required. This includes:

   •  Latest BF patches and updates

   •  Teamspeak (including microphone) NOTE: See information in your email. This is very important to your enlistment.

   •  Register in the Forum.
      

3. Recruits are then required to meet the Forum post requirements. Posts and Topics must be constructive, interactive, informative and involving. Start topics that gets members involved in dialogue. This may involve game play, biography or a simple discussion. Short answers to other members posts Do Not qualify!
    

4. Recruits are also encouraged to hang-out on the Teamspeak and game server to gain more familiarity with the team. This will help during the voting phase.
    

5. Once the membership is ready and the criteria met, the recruit will be taken into the voting phase. Each recruit will be notified via email of the results afterwards. Recruits who could not be accommodated for membership are allowed to reenlist again and repeat the recruitment phase.
    

6. Newly accepted recruits will be further instructed via email on beginning their new-recruit orientation. Yes this is a test! (Hint: Copy, Print and Study the ROSE)

The criteria:

Recruits will be scored on the following criteria:

1. Teamplay skills:

   •  Team (flag) points - Taking and defending flags

   •  Communication - ID'ing targets, warnings, requests, etc.

   •  Small-squad tactics proficiency - Cover and advancement, positioning, etc.
      

2. Individual skills:

   •  Kill/Death ratio

   •  Infantry proficiency - Firing, maneuvering, weapon utilization, stealth, aggressiveness, map familiarity, etc.

   •  Vehicle skill - Armor, transports, boats, aircraft, etc
      

3. Ability to follow directions, be proactive, and think independently. (High Points)
    

4. Fun and all-around cool attitude. (Highest Points)
